Every Day is a New Day

Leading into the Full Moon on Wednesday August 1st - astrologists use an 8 day window for the effects - 4 days before and 4 days after - not a leeway, but like the "tides" a "draw and release"moon_blue_430

There will be a 2nd full Moon on the last day of August.

Welcome to America - What Lobbies do to our country through payoffs to government officials. We are 2nd in crooked officials, 2nd only to china

The NRA is the Large$t lobby in our country. Agriculture (which includes tobacco) is a near 2nd.  Round out this little club with Drug Companies, Wall Street, Healthcare and Oil - and you see about 85% of who is fucking our Country.

My Vacation Post - Pillow Magic

This is my Vacation Post. I started my trip up to Crouch, Idaho Last (Sunday) to vacate my personal random access memory – do some kayaking – and look at the world out the door of my Rig. After a day or two of experiencing “dreams of the past” I realized that my pillow cases were stale and needed washing. I also was waiting for something in the Mail… so, I traveled back to Boise 1.5 hours (Wednesday) – checked on the Mail and did laundry, did some shopping for supplies and Returned to Hot Springs Campground – based on the Southfork of the Payette river. There is a medium sized structure that holds the inflow of the hot springs to an overflow. I would say the temperature of the Water is about 110 degrees and just below the river is at about 55 degrees. I spent several sessions in the hot springs pool – and then plunged in the river. Jackpot would not go into the hot water.
I have always held the “thinking” if you want to change your dreams – get a new pillow. Well the freshly washed pillow cases – worked and took some fairly negative dreams of the previous days – have turned to “floating in the Sky” type dreams.
I have gone down the river twice since I have been here – it is very refreshing. I have spent some time in Crouch where the Crouch Merch – has wireless. I have no cell signal here.
It is now Thursday, and since last evening, “paddlers” have been arriving, a group from Utah, a group from Oregon, A group from BSU … the campground is filling up with Kayaks and Rafts leaning against tree lines everywhere, Their water clothing hanging on the lines… etc.
I have always lived by my motto: "The Road Provides"…. And it certainly does.
I am considering extending my vacation – which was originally from Sunday to Sunday – I’ll see how I feel this coming Sunday.
I love the 5 mile stretch on the Southfork - great memories - once of a storm, with all kinds of wildlife - scary Thunder and a good partner to paddle with.... There is always intresting stuff to see on Southfork to The Convergence.
Today, I'm going to Banks and try to pick up some folks to paddle with... with the intention to get a ride back from the take out.... The Days temperatures rise to a high about 3:30 to 8:pm  still daylight - temps approaching 105 degrees - yet the next morning the temps start in the low 60's.
Jackpot is happy, yet I have to leave him under my rig when I leave, as the surface is cool and he is tied loosely with access to water.

Susan G. Komen - Don't ever forget how currupt a tax exempt orginazation can get when money and politics interferes with Society

Women's Rights (right wing wants them to be denied)
Choice (right wing wants it to be denied)
Right Wing wants America to function in their plan - Civil Rights, Civil Liberties be damned!
The religious right along with the right wing wants freedom to be planned as they see it.

Why is Susan G. Komen allowed Tax Exempt Status
Why has Susan G. Komen been allowed to exist.

There are other organizations that support Breast Cancer solutions who can pick up a the Susan G. Komen parts....

The Randomness of Tumbler

Talk about Failing - when you fail at Suicide - well you are a real loser - Failed Greed!

Russell Wasendorf Sr.

At Peregrine, fraud charges, shock and missing money

By all accounts Russell Wasendorf seemed to be doing better than ever. He was organizing fundraising events, making plans to open a new Italian restaurant and overseeing a growing commodity trading firm that had put his hometown of Cedar Falls, Iowa, on the map.
Everything changed early Monday morning when some employees of Mr. Wasendorf’’s firm, Peregrine Financial Group Inc., found him slumped in his car after a failed suicide attempt.

That morning, what do you suppose he saw in the mirror?

"And indeed there will be time
To wonder, “Do I dare?” and, “Do I dare?”
Time to turn back and descend the stair,
With a bald spot in the middle of my hair—
(They will say: “How his hair is growing thin!”)
My morning coat, my collar mounting firmly to the chin,
My necktie rich and modest, but asserted by a simple pin—
(They will say: “But how his arms and legs are thin!”)
Do I dare
Disturb the universe?
In a minute there is time
For decisions and revisions which a minute will reverse."*

goodbye mama!

The Babe

(Do I Dare?) One of Lily's most favorite in life is Madonna (this is her "Madonna look") far from her "Daddy's Little Girl!" - look

From HBO - The Newsroom - Opening Scene

Headlines of the times (Today's for example)

2 kids left in car, 1 dies - extreme heat
Crane collapse kills 2 workers on Texas Campus
500 million dead trees in Texas keep trimmers busy
Boy 4 dies after tombstone falls on him in Utah
Children, Grandma among 4 dead in wild Tenn. storm.
Mother Gasses 2 children to death before attempting suicide
Thousands of fish die in heat wave, small ponds and lakes no oxygen
Police use extreme force - long island pot raid - Volunteer employee files $1 million against police - it was a supposed Marijuana medical providing clinic.
World Collapse predicted by those who should know better.

Electronic Hysteria is at an extreme!

What Phone to buy?
Should I own a Pad?
Should I be All Apple IOS?
Does Microsoft have any credibility?
Jeff Bezos at Amazon going into Cell Phones?
How many services are not being truthful?
Should I buy a Phone outright and get month to month service?
Who is telling the truth?

What does one do with all this information madness?

WAIT!

If I were entering the markets at this time - I would get a month to month regular cell phone with message service and  basic internet  Facebook, e-Mail, etc. Camera.  I would own a pad only with wi-fi - maybe the new Nexus 7 ($199) and an up to date Laptop with extra RAM - Windows 7 or 8
or a Basic up to date MacBook.

Whitewater - July 15 to July 22 (this coming weekend) Southfork/Main Class I, II to II+ - Payette River

These are the new dates that have been rescheduled from the prior week:

There are two campgrounds - Tie Creek- although more rustic - 9 miles out of Crouch then another 5+ miles to Hot Springs put-in
For Convenience, I will be staying at the Hot Springs Campground (assuming there is space when I get there) It is less rustic but much more convenient. The Put-in on the Southfork for the Hot springs - Convergence Run is just across the street. I'll be there starting July 15th - for some days or all the time till July 22.
I also plan to start in the water about 11am - noon. At 8am, every morning I'll be at the (new) Crouch Merch - on my computer for anyone wishing to join us or other notices that you might make.
I'm looking not only to float the Southfork, but also possibly parts of the main of equal Class... or any other suggestions that are put forward.
I will, of course be using a "Vest" and Helmet -
I will have in inflatable and a hardshell. I have done the Southfork - Convergence run 5 times mostly - at this time of year. It is very nice and not boring.
Knowing if you are coming would be nice... e-Mail day before or early morning of the day would be appreciated.
There is no phone service for me (sprint) there. You will see this Rig parked at the Campground

A possibility Beehive Bend to Horseshoe Bend - 9 mile Run. I have rafted Beehive Bend to Horseshoe bend - but not in my Kayak. It is slightly Higher class (II to III-) depending on river flow. On just a little more difficult at Mile 3.5 (Climax Rapid - I would like to see it from the road - don't like surprises! - including from mile 3.5 to 5.0)

I hope I can corral 4+ people for our runs - it is also pretty easy to pick-up others making the same run.....

Not what you think!

Women like that are a dime a dozen and when she gets older she'll either get a breast reduction, pulleys for her shoulders or ring put into her nipples to provide a tie down to her belt.

Now... The dog is exceptional - I'll take a couple of them for sure

Woman of the Year Award - "The Neighbor"

A previous post in 2011, August 16, "Man of the Year Award, "The Neighbor" is really what all of life should be about and of course - "The Golden Rule" at its finest!

Medford, Ore. "Oregon Woman Catches 2 year old who fell 3 stories while desperately hanging from the lip of the roof of an apartment building across the street in Downtown. Kristen Beach, 21, heard screams from across the street just after 10am. "I could see the tears and snot running down his face." "I said, It's OK, baby; if you fall, I will catch you," Beach Recounted.
She said the boy let go soon after. "The toddler was unhurt as Beach's knees gave way under his weight" Of course, the boy's mother came out when the police arrived. She was detained by the police, thanked Beach... The boy was examined by medical personnel and didn't appear to have suffered any injuries. Beach was dazed, afterward by the whole event while the neighbors around claimed her as a "Hero!!

"A Better Way to Manage Overhead Bin Space On Airlines"

This is an article paraphrased by me, the better written by my friend Dr. Duru in his daily e-mail and (Adapted from the original post at The Thought Blog at Ahan Analytics, LLC) - could be called "Flying A la carte."

Beginning with the "Golden Age" of the Airline industry somewhere between the late 1940's and the 1960's.  Everyone traveled in comfort... the seats were comfortable, many traveled in more formal attire, plenty of space for luggage of any kind and a small surcharge for pets in containers placed in a pressurized luggage area.  The food was pretty good, served by Stewardesses.

There were no "early" anythings, a shuttle between well traveled routes were cheap and on the every half hour (Boston to NYC $10 each way - Eastern Airlines - during the early morning to early evening) Of course there was one drawback - prop engines - louder than jets.

We are now in the 21st Century of flying - best price - uncertain, mileage gimmickry, pay for luggage, pay for better seats, soon to be, pay for overhead bin space other than use only "under-seat" free so far - luggage space. That would limit the bags to about 16" X 16" by maybe 10" - otherwise pay for your bag.  If your flight was from a large airport going to a smaller airport - they may interrupt your flight - and take the plane to a more profitable flight and tell you your plane had technical problems - which why it was used where the technical problems originated.

Where am I going with this post?

I recently read that many of the airline stocks are selling near their most recent highs.... much like a "flower blooms before it dies!"

Best to design your life where airline travel is a rare occasion.

Create an attitude that airline travel is there for emergencies, well planned vacations - paid for and reserved at least 2 seasons in advance (Spring for Fall travel) Mid-September through October is the best time to travel, as everyone thinks that is the best time to stay at home and enjoy Fall.

If airline travel is a way of life for you - be prepared to be cheated, insulted and lied to by the airlines.  Their financial comfort is based on how much discomfort they can sell you... and having you in their clutches.

"Thank you for Flying United Fucking Airlines - we are here to serve you!"

Would you prefer being the "Noun" or the "Adjective?"

I would prefer being the "Noun" and let the adjectives surround where they may?

The Positive Trade When Incumbent Presidents Run For Re-Election

Capital IQ's Sam Stovall appeared on Nightly Business Report on Friday, June 29, 2012 to provide some statistics on how the stock market tends to perform in the second half of the year. Here are the statistics he provided going back to 1900 (without indicating which index he used to calculate the returns of "the market"):
  1. The 2nd quarter is usually down
  2. About 80%+ of the time the market posts its high for the year in the second half.
  3. About 70% of the time the market posts its high for the year in the fourth quarter.
  4. Whenever the market has risen from July 31st to October 31st, the incumbent has won the Presidential election 80% of the time.
  5. Whenever the market has declined from July 31st to October 31st, the incumbent has lost the Presidential election 88% of the time.
