This was sent to me from a woman who knew
I was once a horseman. I guess I would add
by looking at this picture:
"The horse behind Bob is a pack horse - he must have been packing her out - tied up and bound to the pack saddle - dead or alive - no loss to Bob!"

A book: Staying Young: 10 proven steps to Ultimate Health

Product Details
Chapter 8 - by far the most talked about pages.
"When is the last time you saw "sexy" next to health care?
" The fountain of health can be found between the sheets" says Dr Anderson, one of the authors. "Frequent intercourse causes the brain to release human growth hormone which helps maintain youth"

"Middle-aged men who have sex five times a week can lower the risk for prostate cancer by 33%, compared to those who have sex only 5 times a month"

Judy Gamen, a co-author, adds another startling fact: "Vigorous sex three times a week for a year is equal to a caloric burn as walking 75 miles"

Finally, Having sex 3 times a week can increase your immunity. Increasing the release of a protein that acts as an antibody by binding to pathogens that enter the body. ... Oh... the book has lots more on other subjects and is $18+ at Amazon.

Put this in Perspective

sn-blackholes.jpg
This is a real event - reported by the ScienceNOW (on line) Magazine. The big circle has a "Black Hole" in the middle (from a faraway galaxy) the little yellow distorted Star (the size larger than our Sun)

The Yellow Star wandered too close to the massive "Black Hole" - and was devoured (sucked in) The Black Hole streamed a beam of energy straight at the Earth (detected by NASA) - This cosmic outburst continued to burn bright (emitting high energy radiation) that can be observed even today (2 1/2 months later)  the black hole is consuming the star gradually. “That’s because as the black hole rips the star apart, the mass swirls around like water going down a drain, and this swirling process releases a lot of energy,” says Joshua Bloom, an astronomer at the University of California, Berkeley, and lead author of one of the two papers. Bloom expects the flare to fade out over the next year.

this event is bigger than our solar system - bigger, even, than your personal problems...

Here's a challenge for all of us - By Noah Lifschey

Here are Noah's "Five Rules For Life":

1.) Give your pride and ego a rest.
Sure, we should all take pride in ourselves; but when it becomes a tool to separate ourselves from others and promotes a sense of superiority then we're the ones who end up suffering. Same thing with ego - this is a constant battle for me in the music business, but the times that I'm able to let my ego take a back seat are when things get easier, more productive, and more creative.

2.) Dump the drama.
This is something I picked up from my Dad by proxy. Give someone a break, accept an apology, go easy on the waiter who screwed up, let another driver move into your lane instead of rushing to not let him, actually listen when someone's talking, don't yell at someone just because you're angry, take a break from mad gossiping, try using logic instead of emotion when you're riled up. I truly can't understand why so many people prefer to make their lives difficult by being addicted to arguing, fighting, and theatrics.

3.) Dig yourself.
Yep, this is going into Oprah territory, but it really is the foundation for a content life. I'll go on record as saying that loving yourself is without a doubt more important than any other kind of love. Why? It's the only kind of love that you can truly depend on and that positively affects almost every portion of your life. I'm not talking Hallmark card love or being a pompous arse - I'm talking about simply accepting who you are, forgiving yourself when you mess up, and not comparing yourself to everyone else. It ain't easy for most of us, but damn does it make an immense difference when you can grab it.

4.) Breathe.
Most of us live in the past or the future, which are two places that don't exist. Fact: This moment is all that ever actually exists. When you think about all of the mental pain that goes along with staying mired in what happened or what will happen, it seems positively absurd to be anywhere else (even though it takes a hell of lot of practice to try and stay here). Be still for a second. Breathe. Give your mind a break from the miasma of constant thought and rumination.

5.) Don't spend your life wanting more.
More money, more love, more success, more things, more whatever...you're never satisfied. There's nothing wrong with having some goals and all, but life doesn't deal an even hand and one has to try to be content with what's happening right now. Since the future never actually happens, spending your life wanting what you don't have is a spot-on recipe for unhappiness since you'll always want something else and never actually get there.

Wild Fires in Arizona are Absolute

One of the best ways to put out a fire in Arizona is to wait for Monsoon Season. If it's big enough it may bring down the fire to a manageable Situation.  People have paid excess prices for Real Estate, only to find that the end of a fire leaves an area looking like a War Zone for the next 30 years.
Quality of life issues
The wildfire is totally out of control (no containment as of yet.) Smoke has drifted as far as Iowa - and the fire is in its infancy. From my past experience in both Flagstaff Arizona and Northwestern Montana during summer fires - the sun disappears although the haze of smoke allows daylight . The smell of smoke is gagging.  Every day is the same - go to bed with it and wake up with it.

When Monsoon Season comes (july august) the rain help suppress the fire while the Lightening starts more fires daily.
Many of Arizona fires continue until they burn out - many normal containment methods do not work well in a desert.
It is very probable Arizona's social and political issues will be solved if this fire is not contained.  Sara Palin moving to Arizona - the Indians would say, is a bad omen.

pretty soon Arizona will disappear

Want to increase the quality of your life - 2 fold

1. Don't hang out with people you don't respect
2. Don't tolerate a group thing where one in the group is a drag - excuse yourself.
3. Pick places you want to be, with the people you want to be with - don't compromise with someone else - as they will not give you any credit for the compromise - may even think less of you for making the compromise.
4. Don't tolerate any Bullshit or excuses from anyone... tell them you'll get back to them when they are feeling better.... move on....
5. when in doubt... Move on.....
6. Tough roads are easier than boring roads
7. Don't get in tense situations caused by others... Flush once and thoroughly
8. Don't mistake all conflict as bad, some is good....
9. Love me and I will love you.................
10. you'll have less friends... but much better ones...... Quality in life and Love is absolute... don't settle for less.

Got to keep "skin in the game"

today I recovered my composure, from being in a sour leveraged position,  by loading up INTC call options yesterday,  after suffering the last 4 days.  Intel recovered 1/2 of my 4 day losses in 2 hours this am.  Moving forward.  Intel is now basing at R3 with 2 1/2 hours to go, I hope it will settle at R2 or below for re-entry. INTC was on fire this am.

Rescue and Recovery -

I am currently in the Recovery (preservation of "at the moment" assets)  of working trades after my Rescue (getting out of losses) is failing. After 2 years of my best trades in the markets - the past days are signaling my first losses of note. I forgot how to lose!

Testing the market today -

and then had to average down my position until it grew (negative) - then of course I'm glued to this screen until 2pm (4pm NY)

June 1st - Vacation Continues - Markets stagnant

Full Moon for June, 2011
June 15, 20:14 - The weather patterns, market patterns, etc. Should begin to change on June 11 - Boise is in the middle of the High Desert - and currently in a very wet season with lower than normal temperatures. The change should be to the 90's and a very low humidity index.
Wall Street is in a dilemma - the markets are too high for the economic news that is arriving daily - a collision of news and market optimism - is due soon.
